The Role: Graphic Designer

We’re looking for someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts and other designs for the web. The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of how marketing campaigns work, especially in the retail sector, to support our clients. We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal Graphic Designer will be able to hit the ground running as soon as we bring on a new client or project.

 Responsibilities:

  • Create digital images for mobile and desktop that identify a product or convey a message
  • Plan concepts by studying related brand information and materials
  • Obtain approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval
  • Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and sales campaigns
  • Select colors, images, text style, and layout
  • Work closely with copywriters
  • Present ideas and designs to stakeholders
  • Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and sometimes vague requirements

 

Experience:

  • 3+ years in professional commercial design, preferably with a marketing or creative agency
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing or related discipline
  • Extensive experience with Adobe CC, specifically with mockups, web design and multimedia presentation
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and client
  • A professional portfolio that demonstrates creative excellence
